The Hairs’ new 7” ep is a mere £4. Any profit from my purchase has probably covered the recording costs. This is a straight up pop assault by way of early Elf Power psychedelia, Poundsign melodic blitz, Let’s Wrestle hardcore flirtations and The Glory Box’s rugged tunes.
There’s every chance The Hairs don’t know half those bands. What they have in common, though, is capturing the essence of untamed beauty red in tooth and claw. There might be a Hairs compilation in a year or two called They Could’ve Been Bigger Than The Flaming Lips. And really they should be.
Buy your red vinyl record. As I’ve covered the recording costs, all sales now are clear profit for the band.
